Our Mental Health Clinic was inaugurated in 1968 by Dr. Hercílio Luz Costa, who was the only psychiatrist in the region at that time. He had to break a lot of prejudices to make the clinic come true. Nowadays it is a benchmark mental health clinic in Santa Catarina State for the treatment of anxiety, mood, and schizophrenia disorders, among other psychiatric pathologies that require specialized care. It has 15 private and semi-private rooms, and all the necessary infrastructure as a cafeteria, a living room, a place for therapeutic activities, and a strategically decorated outdoor area that is intended to provide a sense of well-being for the patient.
