The Clinical Nutrition Department at HSC Blumenau is responsible for the nutritional evaluation and the follow-up of hospitalized patients (adults and children) until their discharge. The nutrition service is delivered at Inpatient Units, including the Adult ICU and Neonatal and Pediatric ICU. If necessary, the patient can also get nutritional instructions to be followed after hospital discharge.

Besides the responsibility for the nutritional evaluation, this department also takes part in the Skin and Palliative Care Committees, Employee Health Program, Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Support, and gives external lectures at companies about diet and nutrition.
